UOB Corporate Responsibility - Children from 9 Orphanages Treated to See THE SMURFS

UOB Malaysia yesterday treated 200 children from nine orphanages to the latest show The Smurfs at GSC cinema, Tropicana City Mall.

The children from the nine homes were from StART Society, Rumah Hope, Anbu lllam, Beth Shalom Home, Budimas, Ti-Ratana, Blessed New Life School and Shelter and Shelter 2. Besides enjoying the show, the children also received small gifts and also had their photographs taken together with cartoon characters from The Smurfs.
UOB Chief Executive Officer Mr Chan Kok Seong said that UOB is always pleased to fulfil their social responsibility by bringing cheer and joy to unfortunate children.
UOB Malaysia is currently in collaboration with The Smurfs movie. While the movie is being screened in all the cinemas, a preview of the show will be shown in all UOB branches in Malaysia. At the same time, the bank will be setting up photography stands to provide their customers the opportunity to take photographs with their favourite Smurfs characters.
From 15 August until 31 October 2011, UOB will organise various activities by giving away Smurfs collectables such as colouring paper, wallpaper, booklet, etc. UOB has also provided a special web site to allow customers to view and to enjoy all the different types of wallpapers, preview of the show, and also many other delightful and exclusive features.
